Successful Book Marketing The Natural Way - Part 2

Is your mind muddy on book marketing? Do you wake up each day and say, "I'm not a social person and I hate to beat the drum for my book" or "I just wish someone else could market my book for me"?

If you could market your book a pleasurable way, you may not think it a chore. Natural marketing refers to the action you take to get the word out about your service and product that rings true to your heart. It feels effortless without struggle, where ideas pop out, you lose track of time engaging in them, and you can't act on them fast enough! Natural marketing feels authentic and inspired.

Unnatural marketing feels like your actions go against what feels true for you. It isn't what you like to do normally; it isn't what you can do easily. Using this tactic, you may feel bored, fearful, or ambivalent. You go through the motions, but a part of you resists. When resistances and doubts pop up you can be sure they affect every marketing decision that can lead to small gains or a large success. They also do not attract willing readers and customers.

Part one of this article is available at www.bookcoaching.com/freearticles/article-186.shtml.

Examples of Natural Book Marketing and How to Expand Them

Expand this marketing by writing short articles, tips or take sizzling dialogue from your fiction to share with your audience Online. It's easy to get published Online because other publishers and Web sites want your information. You give it freely, and then attract people to where you sell your book with your well-honed signature file. Remember your articles are your 24/7 sales force because they point to the benefits of your information. Don't be married to the idea you must be paid for them. Articles are FREE advertising, and are seven times as powerful as ads because each time you submit an article you join the many marketing masters using viral promotion.

Just ten articles sent out to the top ten Web sites in your field can raise your search engine standing, attract floods of new visitors, and in turn sell a lot of books. These numbers build exponentially, and in no time, you are well known on the Internet.

To expand this marketing and reach 1000 to 500,000 people daily, revise your print articles for the Internet. Make them 200-800 words with a shorter introduction and conclusion, make them in tip or how-to format, and make them unique and useful. Contact a bookcoach to help you write only publishable articles and show you the way to submit them.

Beware of just going through the motions with your book promotion. When you do you leak vitality and don't allow room for your new, natural ideas to come. Struggling keeps you from accomplishing your heart's desire. Adjust and fine-tune your approach. Yet, stay in the natural flow and trust the best will come to you because you are using your natural abilities.

Remember you are already successful. You wrote a book that took your through many adventures. You accomplished a lot so far. Of course you may worry about a learning curve, but if you open your mind to experiencing a much expanded success through the Internet, you'll scratch your head and wonder, "Why didn't I do this sooner?"

As a book promotion coach, what I want for you is to not only make 1/2 your monthly income selling your books Online, but to make a positive difference to your audience. Share your gifts--that's what natural marketing is.

Success is natural, and if you use your natural resources, you too can create enough book sales to take that long, lost trip to the Caribbean, or buy a new car.

Where Did The Internet Kinky Life Go?

Back in the good old days - before MSN, Google and Yahoo - Internet kinky life was simple. There were some discussion lists, the Usenet groups and the occassional chatroom. Life was simple and easy and a kinky pal was easily found. These days, most people are not so sure. In fact, most have lost their trusted resources and footholds. The question is: now what?

It all started out with Yahoo rounding up the majority of discussion groups and lists, turning them into Yahoo groups. First, Yahoo waded out the vast majority of adult oriented groups (they had picked up first, for example through acquiring HotLists) without notice. Whatever groups managed to survive have largely deteriorated to spam-nests, especially since the average-not-so-clever spammer started to buy email addresses from harvesters who do little more than providing them with a ton of dead and useless email adresses, including those, meant to be the group moderator addresses provided by Yahoo and Smartgroups.

The next major setback for the adult internet life was MSN. After quite happily allowing everyone to set up an MSN-group, regardless its nature, MSN - giving in to pressure groups from the USA - suddenly decided that was not a good plan. The United States Bible Belt seems to rule the world and one written complaint from Jane Doe out of Nowhere City, Utah seems to become the standard for what is proper and decent and what is not. MSN came up with a "solution", the major flop "WorldGroups" that doesn't take off, mainly because it is a poor set up in the first place and secondly people see no reason to fill up Bill Gates' pockets further than the already are. Now MSN has - per Oct. 1rst, 2006 - completely abandoned the chat facility for any MSN group and that is the end of the last of the kinky Mohekans.

So, where do they do?

It is simply absurd to think that the approximately one third of the worlds' population that - according to most polls - is into some form of kinky sex, will let itself regulate by overly puristic companies, providers, action groups or individuals. Neither will the 8 billion dollar adult Internet industry give up. So yes, like water this enormous stream of potential customers and voters will find its way. If it can't go through the mountain, it will find its way around it.

Blogging, podcasting and vodcasting certainly is one way to do that. An increasing number of people run their own "newspaper", radiostation or even daily television show on the Internet and these things are extremely popular. A good number among them is adult-oriented.

But these are only minor efforts, compared to profile/dating/exposure sites, such as the 1 million people big MySpace networking site, its competitor Hyves and a wide variety of regional similar facilities that offer the same, but in the local language. These are places where much of the kinky life really happening. Not to mention their entirely "adult" oriented equivalents.

And another good example are forum sites, most of them being new initiatives that offer both an informational site with lots and lots of pointers and information and a community, that allows for posting, finding friends and lovers and much more.

So, it is a simple matter of redirecting your adult searchlite to other places. Where, with a bit of effort, you'll find entire new crowds. With: more fun, more personal control and less "big brother watching".

Finding Your Beyond Benefits

Im interested in those high pressure presentations that we all dread and hate. The presentations in which what you say and do will be the make it or break it factor. Marketing Presentations are when you have your opportunity to promote yourself, your business, your product, and/or your services. Your Marketing Presentations are when you make your most money or when you lose money. Its when you get or lose your best business opportunities. And for any of you who are involved in charity and fundraising work, these are the presentations that make the difference between receiving a $500 donation versus a $5,000 donation (or even a $50,000 donation).

To have your prospects ready and willing to buy your services or product, your presentations must be centered on one main aspect: the Beyond Benefits. The Beyond Benefits are what your client really cares about. Lets face it, were all egotistical. We all want to know, Whats in it for me? You need to answer that question (which is constantly in their head) throughout the presentation. Be aware of places in your presentation when you can quickly mention the benefits of working with you. Dont wait until the end to mention these! Keep reminding them of your Beyond Benefits by sprinkling them in every section of your presentation. These Beyond Benefits could look like:

This house is near the school. So you can shave off quite a bit of time when youre getting the kids to school and heading to work.

With your contribution, we will be able to bring in the highest quality medical equipment*. We will be able to run our experiments faster and more efficiently, brining us closer to a cure quicker than we ever thought possible. (*Notice how the medical equipment itself is not the Beyond Benefit. The efficiency and speed the equipment brings is the Beyond Benefit!)

Your employees will enhance their productivity, resulting in fewer problems for upper management to have to deal with. Therefore, upper management will be able to enhance their productivity because they will have less stress and more time to focus on more important projects.

With this program, you will reduce stress and not only have a healthier heart, but also a healthier mind and body. Youll be able to play with your kids more and never feel confined by your health problems again.

Please take notice! Each of these statements goes one step beyond the obvious benefit to find the Beyond Benefit. Sure the school is near the house, but what I really care about is having more time and being able to sleep in a few more minutes. Okay, so the medical equipment is state of the art, but whats important is the fact that it speeds up the research process. Its a great thing that you can enhance employee productivity, but what does that mean for upper management? The Beyond Benefit is especially important when it comes to health issues. We take for granted what the true benefits are to being healthy. Remind us! Having a healthy heart sounds nice, but being able to play with my kids in the park and keep up with them is a beautiful image that I want to live.

So when you are preparing for your next presentation, write out all of the benefits of working with you or having your product. Then write out the Beyond Benefits! To help you find the Beyond Benefit, look at your current benefits and ask yourself So what? When you answer that, youve found your Beyond Benefit!
